Whats the difference between dvd players using S-Video and just using th normal RCA cord thingos.. its just both my tv/dvd player support S-video, and I have no s-video cords atm to try it out but am interested to know what the result will be like.

For the average person like myself, the difference is negligible. For people who spend way too much time in front of a tv, there is a little better picture quality with S-vid. My brother is an electrician who is one of those geeks who insists on using the s-vid. The only problem I have with this is that we have PS, Nintendo, and Atari hooked up, so everytime I want to play, I need to disconnect the s-vid and reconnect the RCA jacks. Hope this helps. For a couple bucks for an S-vid cable, you could maximize your viewing pleasures though.
