  1. Im using IE 6.0 or Mozilla and I notice in Myspace, When I click on ADD/EDIT PHOTOS ---> CREATE ALBUM, nothing happens. It might be a "javascript" capability. Weird thing, is when I try it on other computers, a screen pops up and I can add an album. Is it something I have on my computer that prevents this popup or feature from happening? What is weird is other popups, like gmail chat pop out. Not sure if it is a setting or feature disabled?

I gotta be some sort of popup blocker.

What tool bars do you have installed? What security software?

  3. I have my popup disabled. No toolsbars (eg. no yahoo or google toolbars) I have Symantec security but I have turned off both Ad Blocking and Piracy Control OFF.

  4. ok, it is not a popup blocker issue. Those who might be familiar with myspace when you go to your friends' list, you can select to jump to the page by Alphabet or click on page number. Mines wont even do that. When I hover over the link, it says "javascript". Its weird because this myspace is the only site I am having problems, and only problem is going to friends page and creating albums. The rest of the links work.

    heh heh
that, my friend, is a scripting error
it may seem impossible but many huge companies actually 'break' their own websites...even business sites such as payment gateways and massive auction sites just to mention a few
what usually happens is that something interferes with the coding which effects something else...
it is the result of implementing untested code
their panel of coders will get to it...eventually

oh...maybe I should have read closer
well, I doubt any 2 computers are identical
sure someone hasn't just turned off your scripting?

I think its called Sun Java. Or Java Runtime.

Uninstall it then goto java.com and install it again.

The reason i suspect something odd with java is its happening in two different browsers.

There has to be a common cause and thats what comes to mind.

  16. I went to java.com and downloaded the latest. Still same thing. There is some configuration on my desktop that prevents it from working........I have no clue. This is the only website I am having issues.

  18. yep, good find. I have the same problem. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling IE 6 and Mozilla 1.5, nothing works. I've installed the latest Javascript and nothing works. Not sure what is wrong.
