Looking for a trial registry cleaner!!!

Regards to all, this is my first posting and I believe that you will be gentle to me. I am looking for a tool/software that can manage my system registry files. I know that I can get them online but I need to try them before I actually use them so that I can be sure of the results.

Any suggestions????

I used to use Registry Mechanic, now I use CCleaner.

CCleaner is free and does an excellent job.

I too have used many types of software for this solution but they did not fare well. Recently my friend suggested regcure which was really effective from my point and the best thing was that it offered a trial before actually owning it. This was a great way to make sure about its features and it did deliver the required results.

To be honest, I have tried several "register cleaners" and never found one yet that didn't eventually cause problems. If you are going to do this, I suggest using Erunt (free) to back up your register before running the "cleaner". CC cleaner gets rid of a few safe entrys, but it is not an in-depth cleaner. After deleting a program, I usually delete my register of left over entrys manually. The best utility I have found to search the register for "footprints" of old programs I have found is Regseeker (free).

I used to use REgSupreme Pro, but the 3 I use now are :

CCleaner
GlarySoft Registry Repair


These are both 100% free and do a good job, have had no issues as such with CCleaner but it does tend to be a bit over zealous when using the cleaner function to remove temp files and cookies, but you can disable cookie removal, but with both you can backup the registry so if it causes problems just restore the registry


For stubborn software that insists on leaving dead rubbish in the registry or sorting out problems that software has left behind I use Reg Organizer


Also a very useful uninstaller that is much better than Windoze Add/Remove Programs is Your Uninstaller Pro, but remember to change the registry scan setting to average or it will do the same as WinDoze's attempt, which doesn't remove any dead rubbish. This software does and has caused zero issues so far. It basically removes virtually all registry links and folders that a lot of uninstallers just doesn't bother to do when you uninstaller software

Thats why you need registry scanners, as they remove t he crap that should have been removed in the first place
