I created an AVI movie using some sound clips that were downloaded off the net, sampled at about 11.5kHz. When I convert the AVI to MPG for SVCD the audio quality on the PC seems okay. When I play the SVCD on my DVD player, though, I can hardly hear the sound clips and there is a bass tone when audio sections with these clips are playing. I've tried using noise filter in audio editor and resampling at 44kHz, no help whatsoever. Any help??? I'm getting tired of throwing away CD-R's trying to figure this out. Thanks.

I think 11.5 is too low to start with.
Try to use CD-RW to test with, then you can erase.
