Hello,
first I have to apologize for my bad English.
I want to copy a DVD as a safety copy for my own.
My problem is a false aspect ratio after conversion.
Following procedure i used to convert.
1. Rip with SMart Ripper version 2.41
2. Prepare with DVD2AVI version 1.76
3. Convert with TMPGEnc-2.51.33.127
After I have converted the height of movie is to big for the width.
All persones have too long necks. :-)
How can I influence the aspect ratio, that I have the correct one in my my SVCD?
Many thanks for your help.
Lars

what's probably happening is that you haven't told tmpegenc to keep aspect ratio, it therefore streches the video file to compensate.

Could be you Original DVD is a Anamorphic Wide screen. It gets sqeezed to normal size when you TV is set to 4:3 on you dvd player. This doesn't happen when you make it (S)VCD. So that could be why your picture seems stretched.
