Sorting files DVD burn

I have the files for a 2 disc set movie.
I have wasted several DVD 5 discs, trying to blunder through it.
I have searched the forums several times with no luck.
I'm sure its on the site somewher.

Can someone lead me to a thread discussing how / where to seperate the
different file types for a 2 disc DVD movie burn ?

More info is needed. Which is your situation?

1) You have various files that will fit on 2 DVD-5 discs and you need to know how to author a DVD.
2) You have the files from a dual layer DVD and you need to know how to split them over 2 discs.

If it's #1, there are guides here on authoring DVDs. Just look at the Guides section.

If it's #2, there are no magic bullets. Splitting a dual layer DVD into 2 separate discs can be easy or insanely difficult, depending on the size of the various pieces and how the original DVD was authored. IFOEdit has the ability to split some dual layer DVDs into something that you can then burn to 2 separate DVD-5 discs, but I have seen some dual layer DVDs that can't be split this way and it may require a combination of tools to do the job.
