I've been searching the net with no luck so far.
Since I got my computer about a year ago, the front headphone and mic outputs have never worked. I've seen that this is a common problem with this onboard sound card.
I've never needed them up until now.
    Anyone fixed this ?

Plese move this for me. I can't see how to delete it.
    Thanks

Your right about it being a common problem, I had exactly the same problem myself and searched the internet far and wide and never managed find a solution until 3 months after building my pc.

I don't believe it will. It is simply outputting the audio to all of the outputs simultaneously. The circuit isn't designed to disable other outputs when something is connected.

This is what you should get when you click the little spanner by the 'analog'

cannot try it as I do not have front audio

Some people tend to use headphones more than regular speakers or not use regular speakers at all. Obviously, you are wanting to headphones, and having front panel access is much easier than having to reach around the PC every time. All you simply need to do is shut off your regular speakers or use the software solution provided above.

Also, the jack itself can mechanically redirect the signal- try Radio Shack...
