I rarely burn ISO files, but never had any problems until I tried doing it on a new Vista machine.![]()
The approx 700 Mb iso files downloaded fine, but when I stuck a CD into the Tosh's drive, it was 'prepped' and I couldn't find any selection to burn an ISO, so I just copied it for transfer to my workhorse machine. On ejection, there was another delay, while it was closed 'so it could be used on other computers.'
Not.
I was unpleasantly surprised that while the CD showed as full, no icon or filename could be recovered.
Checked the file itself by copying it to a flash drive, sticking it on the old machine, and burning the iso- everything is fine with the file, it works fine.
So... can anybody recommend a link or whatever that disc cusses Vista and burning image files?![]()

Try disabling the CD autorun feature so that only your third party burning application do the job. Never, Never let Vista burn a CD for you.
Remember, Vista is a piece of crap, because of this, it does crappy burning jobs.No tengo miedo a la muerte. Solo significa soņar en silencio. Un sueņo que perdura por siempre. ..
