  1. I extracted the VOB files from my home video DVD. Then I extracted to mpeg2 using VOB2MPG v2.5. The resulting MPG file plays fine (video and audio) UNLESS I move the slider to another part of the video in which case I hear a loud static sound (similar to sound you hear on old televisions).

    ALSO...
    * I extracted the middle part of the MPG file and saved as a new MPG file. The entire clip has the static sound.
    * I played the VOB files in Media Player Classic and they sound fine.

    Try play with VLC(it has built in audio codecs), does it sound the same?
