  1. Okay, I recently used the tutorial from this site on how to burn a mpg on a VCD so I can watch on my DVD player. It worked like a charm.

I have a bunch of live video tracks from a singer called Tom Waits. They are avi tracks. I converted them to mpg tracks like I needed to, and I went through the process of making a menu, and burning them all on the CD. Everything seems to go smoothly until I pop the CD in the DVD player. It shows the opening menu, and the selections, but it never lets me choose. When I get up close to the DVD player, I see it switching back and forth between 3 and 4 seconds. Seems like it's playing at 3 seconds and stopping at 4, going back and forth pretty fast. I have burned another copy of the same CD with only two of the tracks, but got the same result. I am using Nero 5.5.6.4. Anybody have a clue as to what is tripping me up here? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  2. You cant scroll through a VCD menu like you with a DVD, you have to use the numerical keys. I think it is flicking backwards and forwards quickly because you set the menu screen to play for infinity i think.

  3. I tried the numbers, and it was a no go, but I did think that I had set the opening menu to infinity somewhere, but now I can't find it in Nero. Anybody know where to set the timer for the opening menu so it doesn't keep looping like that? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  4. You right click on the first trak in the playlisting and select properties, this brings up the properties box and you can choose from here. If that doesnt work, then there is somehing else wrong.
