The goal is simple enough: I want to rip from a dvd to a multiplexed avi which I can then edit. I've downloaded Gordian Knot, and it's not hard to use Smartripper and then DVD2AVI to get an avi file and two ac3 files. But there I'm stuck. I've tried using Besweet to make an mp3 out of the ac3 files, but trying to mux the avi and the mp3 results in crashes. It seems the guides here are all oriented to producing either a divx, or an mpg.![]()
So, is there a way to use DVD2AVI to make and avi and a wav file that I can join in Virtual Dub? Can some other prog do this?
