rmvb to divx under Vista

Hi everyone,

I'm new here.
When I click on convert in Alltoavi, I get the message "run-tim error '70': permission denied"
I've tried rmvb and avi to avi. I think this tool doesn't work on Vista. And it can't read Chinese.
Which freeware tool (no trialware) is Vista compatible, easy and fast? I'm a beginner.
I want to convert rmvb, ogm, divx, avi, mpg and more to divx.
I want to play it on my hddvdr, then I can watch it on tv.
Is there a tool that can read Chinese? Otherwise I have to change all the names in English.
rmvb to avi works with Eo Video, but is very slow and the quality is worser than the original.
A serie of 45min takes about 1h30m. I want one that is faster than 45m.

Maybe WinFF or Super.

But alltoavi should work in Windows Vista, it runs fine here. Try google "runtim error '70': permission denied" and see if you find any information.

I think the cause of the problem you said is for new version of realplayer.

No freeware can convert rm, rmvb very well for they all use avisynth directshow plugin which has a video and audio syncing problem.
Maybe you can try new version total video converter or winavi
