I have spent about 20 painful hours trying to figure this out. I've downloaded a raw 7gig DVD rip in the standard .vob format. I merged the .vob files so I could synchronize and burn it with an .SRT subtitle file. I've been trying to use ConvertXtoDVD to burn the video and the subtitle to a DVD DL. Unfortunately it converts and compresses to DVD+R 4.7gig even when I specify the target size to DVD9 8200mb! I have a Dual-Layer disc writer and dual-layer discs! Not only that, when I put the disc into my DVD player it doesn't play anyways! Somebody please help me.
