I edit home movies using Studio Verison 9. I use a Sony MiniDV cam that I record and capture footage in 16:9 format.
After I edit a short movie and burn it to a DVD, when I play the DVD in my DVD player the movie is stretched to 4:3 format. I am using a Magnavox MRV 660 DVD Player that is 3 years old. This Magnavox player does play Hollywood studio DVDs in 16:9 format. I don't know why it won't play my home made DVDs in 16:9 format. Any ideas or suggestions on what I can do to get my DVDs in play in 16:9 format on my DVD player. I realize I might need a new DVD player, but before I breakdown and buy one I wanted to see if there is anything I can do to solve this problem?

    Thanks
    Dawson

Probably the original .MPG file has an incorrect AR flag,
or the .VOB set was authored inadequately.

After I edit a short movie and burn it to a DVD,
    How did you do that
    Need more info!

  3. A small sample of the source (5 seconds with movement) would be nice
