Is ffmpegX abandonware?

Development of ffmpegX seems to have ceased while development of other video encoding apps like Toast and VisualHub seem to be accelerating. I'm wondering if Major has abandoned ffmpegX to pursue other interests?

I'm wondering if you have any idea of how arduous a task it is to singlehandedly helm a shareware application and still work full time? He's one man with limited time resources unlike the dev crew of Toast, so don't expect a new release every month like some applications can do. The last release was the end of january, and the next one should be somewhere around the corner. Give it due time, it's only been a little bit over 3 months, which is usually how long it takes for a new release.
