I have DVDWS2 and is there a way to pick the range of the video that plays in the motion menu thumb? It just plays from the beginning of the chapter I selected for a few seconds. I would like it to loop from farther into the chapter
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

DVDWS 2.x does not allow you to change the starting position of the motion thumbnail (i.e. motion starts at the chapter point it is linked to). However, what you can do is create a small clip that you want as the thumbnail motion, and after setting the menu button, drop the small clip onto the button.

Thanks George. I will do that when I get home. I think its weird that a lower priced authoring program would have it but not DVDWS2. It doesn't matter cause your solution will do just fine
    Thanks

Price has nothing to do with features. Higher-end software requires that each asset be made individually.

The "lower priced" software (at least from Ulead/Corel) has that feature because they realized they missed adding it to DVD WS 2.x.

And since further developments on DVD WS 2.x (or perhaps a WS3) stopped a long time ago, you start to see the consumer applications get all the attention, which is why in some ways DVD MovieFactory 6 Plus has more features than DVD WS 2.x

I will stick with WS2 for now. I can work around the shortcomings, Maybe as you said ws3 might have more.

One of the best features of WS2 is its user-friendly interface

btw, in case you misunderstood -- there is NO WS3
