Capturing program

I am looking for some advice on a capture program. I am looking for it to live capture and be able to stop and start whenever i decide, around every 3 to 4 minutes. I also have to be able to name each clip as I stop. And it all has to be able to be done in about 10 seconds. Any advice? I am using premeire pro now to do it but it just a little bulky for what i am trying to accomplish

If you are capturing DV, the new version of our Enosoft DV Processor can be programmed to do pretty much anything you like. It would require writing a suitable program or script to do the controlling. I will be able to help you with that.

Premiere Pro will do it
In addition to Enosoft DV Processor
also WinDV (start-stop control)
also ScenalyzerLIVE

Most auto rename but in 10sec you can manual rename capture file name.
