Hi -- can anyone assist me with the following? I must calculate the bit rate of a program produced at 1920 x 1080 pixels, progressive scan and 30 frames per second, using red-green-blue color representation with 256 levels of each primary color. I'm not factoring in audio. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Uncompressed bit rate? Normally 1920x1080p would be 59.94fps or 23.976fps. 30fps is seldom used.
If not uncompressed, which codec?Recommends: Kiva.org - Loans that change lives.

I must calculate the bit rate...

How do you get that calculation? How do the 256 colors factor in?
Thanks. -
How do the 256 colors factor in?
I didn't figure anything, by the way. If you're referring to the bitrate calculator to which I linked, those are the default settings. To figure the bitrate on it, turn on the Advanced Mode so you can set the audio to zero (since you said you're leaving it out of the equation). Set the Tracks ISO to zero as well. Fill in your file size (Custom Size) and Video Length and read the Calculated Bitrate. -
file size = bitrate * running time
or, rearranged:
bitrate = file size / running time
