I am looking for the Best (quality), but fastest way to encode to SVCD through TMPGENC. I usually use CQ 80 (Constant Quality, 80 quality setting), and on Normal or High Quality under "Motion Search Precision". The outcomes usually come very good, but at times a little blocky, and usually 2-3 discs. It usually takes 4-6 hrs. I have an athlon xp1800, 128mb ram.
I've heard most people do 2-3Pass VBR, but that takes too long for me. Anyone have different experiences with different TMPGENC settings? What's a better setting to use?
