I have a JVC XV E100 DVD player that previously played DVDs from Australia, USA and UK. I switched unit off at mains to move to new location, now when try to play any DVD gives a Region Code Error? Anyone any ideas how to fix? Thanks

Have you tried to play the same DVDs which were working before? Did you move to another zone? I wonder if your player has built-in GPS system so it can decide in which zone and what discs you are allowed to play

Some region-freeing procedures end up by opening and closing tray. This step saves new region code into memory (flash I suppose). If you have done such procedure but did do this last step then probably it worked until it was in standby mode. When you powered it off and on later, then "all regions" code was rewritten in RAM?

From doing a web search, it seems that your player requires hardware modification to become region free and there are no codes entered by remote control to do the job. So if that is right, what that means is that in the process of moving the player, you somehow caused the hardware mod to come loose. You'll need a repair.
