i downloaded the rtm version 5512. it came in at about 325mb and took 15 minutes to install. it appears to me to re-install all the old updates whether or not they are already installed. it didn't change much that i can find except for reinstalling messenger, i had to delete it's entire folder again.
all the important stuff still works fine, all the adobe stuff, sony stuff, cce and mc encoders, etc. even office ie oe
the only thing for me that won't work now is editstudio, clicking on it causes the wait hourglass for a second but it never loads.
if i find anythiing else i'll post it.

I'm currently using Windows Media Player 10 on my box and want to keep it for, shall we say, compatability reasons.
Does SP3 install WMP 11 and if it does is there an option to NOT have that installed? Just wondering. -
sp3 gives you no options, it just does it's thing. i had wmp11 already, i can't help you there. i've used sp3 on 3 machines now with no problems, makes you re-install windows genuine advantage check at the m.s. update site, they still passed.
