So I am remuxing my mkv's to m2ts for my ps3... and I know that only SRT subs will display on the ps3.

My problem is that the bottom 3/4's maybe even smaller of the subtitle line gets cut off when replaying... There is plenty of space during playback on my pc.

I looked at the SRT, and all it has is time and text... also opened it with subtitle workshop but it doesn't seem to show anything that can help... along with mkvmerge and mkv2vob.

Is there anyways I can fix this? The video is not zoomed while playing on the ps3 and its a 1080p... Would I have to shrink it down a but to create a bit of blackbar space which requires encoding? (not muxing or transcoding)

Or is there another subtitle format that I can use?

Thanks for your time and help.

You can't change position in srt, you must change that in the video player. And if the PS3 ONLY supports srt you can't do much if you don't want to reconvert with burned in subtitles.

I would search in a ps3 forum like http://www.ps3forums.com/ for more information.

Well I think I looked over the problem...

it appears on second glance that mkv2vob has a overscan feature incase subtitles get cut off....

    sorry
