1. Has anybody got a method to capture(record) AC3 coax or Optical inputs in a PC?
2. Has anybody captured(recorded) IEE1394(firewire) output from certain satellite recievers with DVHS output? The DVHS output is SUPPOSED to be standard firewire output but maybe it's encoded or non-standard!

EAC Exact Audio Copy. It's freeware and has a great record feature. You set your record device (S/PDIF) under sound properties and go.
If you want to do it the hard way, you can also use Goldwave (shareware). But to do it that way, you first have to set up a blank audio file and record into it. Make sure you set it up with the correct sampling rate, etc.
