Hello all! This may be a stupid question, but...

I have a karaoke program loaded on my vista laptop. I connected a computer mic
to the microphone input, and i went into sound properties, made sure it was enabled,
and could see that when I tap on the mic, the sound level visually rises and falls on the
    meter.

How do I make my voice come out over the speakers while I am singing?

I used the sound recorder, and my voice is RECORDED, but it can't hear it
at the time that I'm singing.

    Thanks in advance!

  2. I don't know the exact settings in Vista, but you need to open the volume control and uncheck "Mute" for the microphone control. Be prepared to receive feedback when you do, though.

As far as I can tell, it is unmuted. I right clock the speaker icon in the
tray, select the "Recording" tab, and see that the Microphone is working.
I right click on the microphone and click properties, then select the "Levels"
tab. The volume on the mic is up to 75 and the speaker icon indicates that it
    is not muted.

Any idea what "immediate" mode is in enhancements?

  4. Not on the Recording tab, but on the Playback/Output (or what ever it's called in Vista) tab. You may need to adjust settings to be able to see the microphone in the Playback tab. Having the Microphone muted for playback is common, (and I think default), to prevent feedback.

I'm not familiar with Vista's screens, so I don't know what "immediate" mode is referring to.
