    Questionn about convertion with autogordianknot

I did succesfully a convertion from a vob (video movie) file to avi using AGK, everything went fine but I got CD1, CD2
and another file with both cd1 and cd2 joined in one single avi file !!!!

What do I have to do next time to get only one single file or at least only the CD1 and CD2 ??

    tks.hilario.

If you choose the 1400MB file size, it will always be split. It has to make a single big AVI before it can split it. That's why you got a 1400MB AVI and also the CD1 and CD2 split AVIs. If you want to have only the one big AVI then make it for a different size, like 1399MB or 1401MB. If you're worried about running out of hard drive space, then it's time to buy a new hard drive.

If you choose the 1400MB (2 CD option), you will always get the three (3) files. Just delete the file(s) that you don't want.

So ther's no option to get 2 splited avi files or only 1 big avi file ??
The result is always cd1 + cd2 and 1 big file with both cd1 and cd2 together ??

What if I dont select the predefined size and select only the custom size ??

Yes you can get just the one big file. Choose one of the DVR options. They don't produce the 2 CDs, just 1 file. I use it all the time.

Was there something about my earlier response you didn't understand? Yes, if you don't want it to be split tick "Custom size" and make it for something other than 1400 (or 2100) MB. Heck, you could even have read the included tutorial, easily found the answer, and saved yourself the trouble of asking and us the trouble of answering:
If you make a 2 or 3 CD rip, then it will also be split into 700 MB pieces for you. 2 GB and different DVD-R sized rips won't be split...

So tick Custom Size, and either fill in or use the up/down arrows to select a Custom Size. A Custom Size won't be split. If you happen to choose a Custom Size of 1400 or 2100 MB, then it will be split, like a 2 or 3 CD rip will be split. If you want a Custom Size for those sizes, then make them for a slightly different size, such as 1401 or 2101 MB.

There's also a Portuguese version online:
