I have a Sony miniDV camcorder that I use along with a proprietary (VB based) company software. The software allows me to stream the video from the camcorder and automatically captures the time info from the miniDV tape. It uses the clock time, not the elapsed time to calculate time (down to the seconds) between events.
I would like to be able to transfer the video to my laptop (I have both Firewire and USB 2.0) and stream it from there. But I am not sure what format or transfer it as and if I would need a different software for capturing/transferring. I do have Pinnacle Studio v10.
Any suggestions?
