    Hi Guys:
Silly question of the day: Which software ?

I have a home movie. It includes my whole family, not only close relatives. However, there's a new member of the family who must be added to the movie.
I don't want to bore you with the structure of the film, but I cannot add him between scenes, or as an intro or at the end. He must be added in a couple of scenes, as being part of what he wasn't part of.
Remember Woody Allen in Zelig ? (or Tom Hanks in Forrest Gump, for that sake, shaking hands with JFK)
I don't need it to be perfect, on the contrary... Could you please indicate a couple of programs to do this ? Many thanks in advance.

There is no easy way to to this if you haven't planned ahead for it. However, if the new footage hasn't been shot yet, you might be able to do some basic blue screening to make it work. if you can, most editors will allow you to do it, as well as the free options of ZS4 and CineGob Keyer.

If the new footage has already been shot and you need to extract the person from it and then put them into a new clip, you may have to look at something like After Effects/Combustion/Fusion which all have spline masks and keyframes.
