Capture card problem

i just bought my capture card and it wont let me record because of something with the resolution.ill post screenshot so hopefully someone can help me

if you have another software running at the same time than windvr (dvd player/video player) it make sense that you get such an overlay error otherwise i don't see.If that's the case, only run windvr, close the other softwares.

it says i should lower depth and resolution how can i do that?

it's in the settings of your graphic card but i doubt it's the real problem, anyway try it (i use 1024x768 personnally).

I got an Ati radeon and i have access to the settings when i click on the icon "Ati/catalyst center" at the left/bottom corner of my screen.

hmm i just keep getting the same error and i have all programs closed when i use it

Right click on your desktop, select Properties, Settings tab, Display resolution, move the slider to the left to reduce the resolution.

Ah, just noticed you're running Vista. No idea how you reduce the resolution. It might be the same but I somehow doubt it.....
