  1. I got a MKV file, that I can play with VLC player.

    I also installed the lazyman MKV codec.

    I opened up TMPGenc and try to convert it, but TMPGenc won't do it. I went to select direct show as proprity 0 in TMPGenc, and it still can't figure out it out.

    What should I do, to get the MKV file convert to DVD mpeg2 ?

    Avisynth -> HCEnc

    Or maybe an all-one-one solution like favc.

  3. I downloaded favc, and it is using HCEnc to encode the mkv file to m2v file, at this moment.

    Does the DVD output of favc include subtitle

    If you add a subtitle file then yes.

    Will it read the subtitles from inside the mkv container - no. Use MKVExtract to get them out first, so you can load them into FAVC.
