    Hi,

    Need help with using mencoder

    Mplayer playback reports DVD as:
Demux_mpg: 24000/1001fps progressive NTSC content detected, switching framerate

Then I use -vf cropdetect which reports crop=720:368:0:54

Here's what I'm using to encode:

    Mencoder -ofps 24000/1001 -vf crop=720:368:0:54,scale -zoom -xy 512 -ovc lavc -lavcopts mbd=2:vbitrate=700:autoaspect -ffourcc XVID -oac mp3lame -lameopts cbr:br=112 input.vob -o output.avi

Because I'm not 100% about scaling I use the -zoom -xy so I don't have to worry about proper calculations on dimensions or aspect (i'm lazy)

    Here's my question:
is the only setting with mencoder -ofps 24000/1001 to force film ?
Will I have any sync issues? If so what should i add to this avoid it?

    Thanks!
