Slow encodings from the mp4 or mkv or all files you use?
What do you convert to mpeg1/mpeg2 or some other format? -
both , mp4 & mkv, i tried convert to mpeg1/mpeg2/vcd/dvd just the same, very slow, but if i convert from avi, it didn't have a problem

One of the costs of high quality compression is that it takes more effort to process the video, both during encoding, and during playback. If you are still able to convert Xvid type avi files at the same speed as before then this is simply an issue with converting H264 video.
You might also try AlltoAVI instead of tmpgenc and see how you go.Read my blog here.

oh. very very sorry, my mistake, i didn't notice it, i just now convert
avi, very slow, usually 15 minutes now more than 1 hour -
Is your computer spec in your profile correct ?
What sort of avi file converts in 15 minutes ?
From what to what ?
I find it difficult to believe anything of length or quality will convert in 15 minutes on your system. An hour actually sounds about right.Read my blog here.

Go into FFDShow via the Start menu. Open the Video Decoder Configuration program. Click on DirectShow Control, and look at the pane on the right. There is an option "Don't use FFDShow in : ". Make sure this is ticked, then click on the Edit button. Click Add, and browse to your tmpgenc folder and select the tempgenc executable. OK your way back out and try again. This should stop FFDShow decoding for tmgpenc. Of course, this may mean you can no longer use tmpgenc for your mp4 files.
