  1. Okay, here's the problem. I want to stick some asf files that I made on a website. I chose asf because geocities won't let me upload larger mpg files. I want people to be able to download/watch the asf clips. Here's the problem: HOW DO I DO IT?
    I know you have to point to an "asx" file that points to my asf file, but for some reason I get a file path error message. My asx file is in the same directory as my asf file. Here's what my asx file reads:

    <ASX VERSION="3.0">
    <ENTRY>
    <REF HREF = "http://webServer/Path/myFile.asf" />
    </ENTRY>
    </ASX>

    Then my link points to the above asx and the above asx file should point to my asf file. That's what I did...where did i go wrong?

  2. I am not an asx guru but I do use them to have Windows Media Player autorun my VCDs when on the PC. MS has an ASX guide at http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/wmplay/mmp_sdk/window...afileguide.asp that might help.

    Yeah - I've followed that guide and a few others - i think that Geoshitties doesn't like to stream ASFs....
    what are you using to encode ASF?

  4. I'm using Sonic Foundry Stream Anywhere to encode to asf. Also, I did use the MSDN library for some tips and I coded everything thing exactly how they said to do it. I'm beginning to think it is Geocities.
