Actual VFR-video is a big fat nightmare. It does not work and cannot work
outside of the containers that were designed for supporting it (ASF, MKV, MP4).
One cannot obtain a sync~ed CFR AVI from a VFR mkv by merely
demuxing and remuxing. Unless the OP really wants to see their
"psycho" video be played-back on a stand-alone device, I think
he'd better listen to what Baldrick said:

Probably Variable Frame Rate. Give up. .
