    Hi,
    i got a problem converting .avi to VCD (NTSC) with TMPGEnc-2.51.33.127. I always get a "stream writing error" at 58%.
    Watching the .avi file on the PC works fine.

    Presumably you don't have this error on other input files so I guess that there is a corruption or perculiarity in this particular avi.

    If the avi is a DivX file you may like to run a couple of "fix" programs on the file such as AviDefreezer (for frozen frame problems) or DivX Fix (for broken downloads)

    I would also suggest you take a look at AviSynth (http://www.math.berkeley.edu/~benrg/avisynth.html) and open the avi through the program rather than letting TMPGEnc read the troublesome file directly.
