    First of, let's say I know basically nothing about video stuff and I am basically not very computer savy (which is true).

    What I was hoping to get some help with is this - How do I take a video clip from youtube and convert it to a file I can view on my computer later or take the file to another computer and watch it when I want? I have windows media player and a few other video player software packages. As much step by step would be appreciated. Do I need some other software ? Please advise. I know there are some really sharp people on this forum that have done this. I really would appreciate the assistance. Thank you in advance.

    And might install VLC Media Player as it can display most video formats without adding any new codecs to your system.
