  1. I tried the latest vso ConvertxtoDVD 3.0.0.9 and I found that it has a problem. It doesn't convert dts to dts, but to AC3. If it's dts 6.1 and encodes it as dca 5.1. My dvd player doesn't show the dts sign as soon as it reads the dvd like it does on all the other dts dvds. What do you think about this problem? Thanks for helping out.

Not many tools can handle or author DTS audio. I don't know if it is because it is more difficult, or because of licensing issues. Whatever the reason, I am not hugely surprised.

  3. But the previous convertdtodvd versions did it. Its v3.0.0.9 that isn't doing it.

The real answer would have to come from VSO software (makers of ConvertX2DVD). If you need DTS, simply switch back to an older version until it is fixed.

  5. The problem with previous versions, am talking here about 2.9... onwards before version 3, is that certain mkv files, like aeon flux and Die Hard 4, to give an example, are converted with some buggs, stop and go movie, slow to fast. Bugs like that. V3.009 takes care of these bugs, but the audio is transcoded to ac3 instead of dts.

Then don't convert the films to mkv, then convert them back. Use your original versions instead.
