I've got about 50 hours of DV video captured from a few different DV camcorders, which in turn were playing either 8mm, Hi8 or MiniDV tapes. I know that time code was present on most or all of these. What I want to do is watch the videos with WMP (as I currently do) but also, optionally, with the time code displayed. The data is there, but WMP clearly does not come with a built-in ability to display it. Yes, it would be easy enough to rip the time code from the video files, or to (ugh) re-encode the videos with the time code superimposed into the video. I'm going to give those options a pass.
Anyway, whatever I need to do to WMP to get it to work.. that's what I'm after. Somebody must know. ;p
