I have this Xvid (.avi) file. I created subtitles for it using Subtitle Workshop. Then I converted it to DVD using ConvertXtoDVD but the audio becomes too loud. I want to know if there is a way to convert the Xvid file to MPEG-2 manually and multiplex the DVD by hand. Or, is there a way to fix the audio bug of ConvertXtoDVD?

You can adjust the volume level in ConvertX. 'Settings>Audio'.

Or you can encode the video and audio with a MPEG and a audio encoder, then use a authoring program to create the DVD structure. HC encoder and GUI for dvdauthor can do that. Or try the freeware FAVC. It's similar to ConvertX, but has a few more adjustments.

I don't have an option for volume in Settings>Audio of ConvertX. I'm going to try the rest of the tools you mentioned.
