    Is there a software VCD player that plays just like a hardware VCD player
    does? I don't have a hardware VCD player yet, and would like to get a feel
    of how they work beforehand. All Media Player does is let me look at the
    movie files, and I want more.

    try windvd it will play a videocd and recognise the chapter marks and everything
