  3. Hi Rain13r,
I suspect the issue with the error message and the time lag in the audio is somewhere in the conversion. I get that message if I do not use the "proper" templates i.e. my own templates. It would be easier to help if you could indicate how the DV file was converted eg tmpgenc? try using the templates that came with the program.

With regards to being in Singapore, it doesn't matter if the VCD will be in PAL or NTSC or NTSCFilm. The VCD player and DVD player I have plays all the formats. The TV is also Multisystem, so doesn't matter which format as well. If the TV isn't Multisystem, the VCD player shld be able to convert to PAL internally.

  4. okie...hmm..i used the VCD(Pal) template for the conversion of *.Dvi to MPeg1....i am using Tmpgenc...lag...when i do the conversion..i play half life concurently too..do u think it could be due to this?? i'm using a P3 500 mhz wit 64MB ram...
options selected/modified when converting to VCD mpg1 format:
    MPEG-1 352x240 29.97fps CBR 1150kbps, Layer-2 44100Hz 224kbps.
i tried playin the VcD on two different players and as it turns out,one plays a tad bit faster then the other...wat do u think could be the cause of this?? i seriously need help..been wasting like 5 CD-Rs tryin to get the vid to work..damn it..i think i should start gettin CD-RWs....
    Thansks./
