I can't seem to fast forward or rewind on my AD-1500. It plays SVCD perfectly but when I press ff, the movie goes to beginning of the chapter. Any help will be appreciated... :o

Need more info, Is it an original SVCD or something you created?
First try turning off PBC on your DVD player (Should have a button on the remote somewhere)
If you created it what did u use to burn it ???
Anything below Nero 5.5 wont create a SVCD that you can ff/rw.
Personally I'd use EASYVCD to create an image and then burn with CDRWIN - Always works like a dream -
Some DVD players have a firmware bug not allowing FF/REW for discs longer than 40 minutes (most notably Philips DVD plaers, I have one
). Making chapters with VCDEasy or similar software is the only solution.

It is homemade SVCD (25min.) and I've used Nero 5.5.0.3 to burn it.
I'll try the EASYVCD to create media and CDRWIN to burn...
Thanks for the help :D -
I have the same problem... My Philips DVD-622 has also problems of not Fast forward.....BUT....
A friend of Mine bought a Philips DVD-622 just three days ago. Al my movies (longer than 40 min!) WILL fast forward on his machine......
That makes me happy..... Now I am looking for the firmware update (I assume that mine will work also with a firmware update)
Does anyone know where to get it?
Thanks -
