    Hi,

I'm trying to convert a WMV file to DVD. I tried several programs but I'm still getting the audio out of sync. Tried to repair the file without any success.
Can you suggest any clues as what to look for or how to process the file?

Windows Movie Maker and export as DV-AVi, check if it is synced and then convert it to DVD.

Unfortunately it didn't work. Stops at 9%. In one of the encoding softwares also stops at 9%. Obviously there's something broken or I don't know what there.

Does it play fine in Windows Media Player?
Can you open it with Avisynth's "DirectShowSource()"?

  6. Is there any playback errors near the 9% mark?

You could try re-indexing with asfbin

    It plays fine in WMP.
Tried to reindex with ASFbin - no success. Tried also with Windows media file editor.
Finally tried to reencode with WME - left it to encode through the night the morning found it crashed at 58%. Tried with different settings - same thing. Other software that would encode it produced a file out of sync.
This file is cursed or something...
Actually I didn't watch the whole file because I wanted it straight to DVD but I'll have to do it and eventually cut it where necessary.
