    Hi guys

I am writing from Austria and I am new here and my english is not very well (sorry), so I am hoping to you ll understand me.

I am using WinAvi 8 for converting some music clip-avis to one dvd with separate files. When converting is finished I burn the dvd with nero express (from nero 6). When the burning is also finished I want to watch the separate dvd files but I cant switch between them. I have to wait until one musiv clip has ended. I must also wait when put chapters or a dvd menu.

I would be very much obliged when if you could help me.

    Thanks a lot

  2. There is a setting "output mode"

Select "one DVD, separate titles," instead of "merge into one title"

A freeware alternative (and better in my opinion) would be FAVC

TMPGEnc DVD Author is the best option... you can download 30 days trail.

When you author a DVD, the output file structure (different VOB files) have very little to do with how the DVD is played. Basically, a VOB grows to 1 GB, then a new VOB is created. The navigation between chapters and titles is provided by the IFO.

i have tried tmpgenc but the output has no sound. I read some topics about that and I see that the audio should be extracted with programs like virtualdub. But isnt there a simple solution, maybe a program which does everything without any other help from other programs?

Well, the proper way to go about any DVD creation task, is to first convert your source material into DVD compliant format (if it isn't already).
Then you fire up your authoring app and author it to suit your needs.
    When you say
    i have tried tmpgenc
do you really mean that, or do you mean "i have tried tmpgenc DVD Author"?

Take a look under CONVERT left. For most source formats imaginable, there are guides written for how to convert it to DVD. Try some of those.
