  1. hi,

I have a mpeg1 file (video) which i tried to burn as a VCD with Nero, but it didn't work.

So, I think i have to convert it to VCD. Can anybody tell me which tool I have to take and how I have to use it.

  3. when I moved the mpeg file in Nero by drag & drop it was checked only one second (what normally takes about 2 minutes).

There came no messages that something was wrong, but after burning it, I couldn't play the CD and there seems to be nothing on the CD.

Therefore I think that the mpeg1 file doesn't have the correct format and I have to convert it to VCD before burning it.

Moreover I can play the mpeg video with the media player without any problems.

    Bye

  4. i would try converting the "mpeg" to mpeg using tmpgenc... my guess is that it is a different format with the extension changed to .mpg.

  5. i capture all my video in MPEG1 and then use Nero to drag those files into VCD format. make sure that you select "Create a standard compliant CD" under the Video CD tab in Nero. This will instruct Nero to re-encode the MPEG files into VCD compliant format. Be warned it oculd take 1-2 hours to re-encode.

have not used TMPEngc or VCDEasy
