After ripping a BR or BR+ disc with AnyDVD to my hard disc, what can I do with it? If I had a BlueRay burner, are there any tools to copy the video to a BR disc? If so, will it be a complete copy with functional menus or just the video itself? Can I shrink it and convert it to a standard DVD disc?

The lack of response to this question actually is the answer. There isn't a simple way to do this - yet. There are awkward ways to extract the main movie and redo the audio and then create a movie-only video in XVID or other format but that apparently is about it for now.

This lack of simple and easy ways to backup a complete BlueRay disc that is complete with menus etc. represents a big opportunity for a company like Sly Fox. At the end of the day, it would be great if the process was as simple to do as it is with DVD discs now.

I recognize this is a huge task for a software developer to accomplish. While there were two different HD formats, it didn't make sense to apply the level of effort required to do this on two different formats. I hope we will see something later this year that will provide a more straightforward way to handle BlueRay backup.

I assume you are referring to Nero 8. How much of the process can Nero do? Is it possible to burn a complete BlueRay backup by opening a copy on the hard disc that has been ripped by Any DVD HD?

    Yes.

You can use Nero and IMGBurn to burn the BDMV and CERTIFICATE folders as UDF 2.50

Thanks, I will try it out in the next week or so and see how it goes. I will probably step in a few "piles" as I go but that's how to learn.
