I am converting VHS tapes from way back when my kids were little into dvd.
the original was not all that great and after so many years, it's far from being better.
it's okay with poor quality video but I'd like to "highlight" my kid's face in that video, keeping the rest of the sceen intact (or darken the general sceen but my kid's face) to "lead" the viewer to "recognise" that specific kid.
any good samaritain with a good idea to get the intended result???
as you can expect, the kid is moving all over the place in that video (avi).

This tutorial from Wrigley Video shows oyu how to use Premiere to do pretty much what you want. Although they talk mostly about blurring the face, the principal for high-lighting
