If I am editing and converting a DVD video from footage captured by my TV tuner card for playback on DVD players (on PAL system equipment) what would be the pixel aspect ratio i should choose when asked by the editing software or titling software (i prepare tiltes on a seperate software and inport to the NLE software) before final rendering ?
When does one choose 1:1 and when does one choose !:09? PAR

What resolution are you capturing at from your tuner card ?

If you capture at standard 4:3 or 16:9 resolutions then you should not have to alter the pixel aspect ratio, or even select it when you edit. You should just be able to choose a standard PAL 4:3 or PAL 16:9 Aspect Ratio and begin editing. Unless you captured at something like 640 x 480, you should not need to use 1:1 for broadcast to DVD processing.Read my blog here.
