  1. I converted a long movie into MPEG2 (about 2G), so I have to cut it into 3 part before I can burn it as SVCD. I successfully cuted first 2 parts. But the TMPGEnc freezes at the last part, I have tried many times, and did what I was told ont the "How to" sesseion, such as "first hit play and pause, or put output before edit, etc" but nothing works!
I've been trying to use BBMPEG , but I have to de-mutiplex first, yet the TMPGEnc freezes even I perform de-multiplex. other demo version can't cut MPEG2 file!
Help me please! it's the last mile to success, yet I can't find a way to go through.
If anybody has other cutting software, would you please kindly send it to me?

    my email : lei_sun@hotmail.com

    Thank you very much!!

  2. you sure that TMPGEnc is freezing

    and not just SEEKING

it takes TMPGEnc a while to seek to parts of video that are later in the movie.

cutting the 1st five minutes of a video that is say 120minutes would be faster than cutting the last five minutes of that same video because TMPGEnc has to first get to [SEEK] that position in the video and audio part of the stream before it can cut that part out.
