I don't do BD or HDDVD yet, but it's always nice to see things like this so one day when i do move over from standard dvd viewing i will be able to back my stuff up 8)

  3. Good news, I think we all knew it was just a matter of time. It'll be a while before I jump into backing up my Blu-ray discs however, the BD-ROM's, Blu-ray burners and especially the BD-R's ($20-25 apiece ) are still quite expensive.

The BD+ people said just a month ago that it would take 10 yrs. to crack. Slysoft did it in less than 8 months. What do you want??? Kudos to James and the Slysoft team.

I'm not sure if it can be done since native BD streams are 23.976fps while HD are 29.976 with pulldown, and I'm not sure if there is a remuxer like TSRemux for HD. EVODemux only demuxes, not remuxes.

It's rather academic anyway - are you really going to burn it onto half a dozen DVDRs?

Great, any chance of getting more great catalog titles on Blu-ray from Fox Video just went out the window....

  15. I think in theory people will want to maybe burn to HD media to watch on stand alone players. For example I sometimes rip my RC 1 DVDs so that I can watch them on my region locked DVD player here in Europe plus get rid of all the user prohibited fetaures.

In theory someone may have an HD-DVD drive in their computer but a BluRay player and want to watch the film on the stand alone without losing too much quality.
As you say though, academic and perhaps for a minority.

it is really easy......rip via anydvd, use EVODemux to demux your EVO files, use graphedit and avisynth and divx and run!!!

We don't recommend that you do that. It's Warez - not a good idea to discuss or admit doing this.

Unless Baldrick places it in the mods thread to hide it....or just delete it altogether, but that's doubtful

It's not cached by google yet, but it does show up

The problem is as you can see above there is no way to prove what is real or not. :P

Well I look at it this way:

The television screen is the retina of the mind's eye. Therefore the television screen is part of the physical structure of the brain. Therefore whatever appears on the television screen emerges as raw experience for those who watch it. Therefore television is reality, and reality is less than television.

After all, there is nothing real outside our perception of reality, is there?

The above are two famous quotes from the film VIDEODROME but substitute "television screen" for "computer monitor screen" and you have essentially the same thing.

    You can't trick me

    - John "FulciLives" Coleman

Excuse me now while I try to find those voices in the static between radio stations on my transiter radio.
