Playing multiple Youtube videos always has me reaching for the volume control on my PC. Same thing goes for my TV peripheral card when a show goes to commercial. Does anything exist that could act as a "Master Limiter" -maintaining the volume control despite the input strength - perhaps a piece of software or a specific brand of audio card? I'm thinking the only thing that would work would be an external device - like this: http://www.behringer.com/COM800/index.cfm?lang=ENG placed between the speaker out on the computer and the 1/8" mini in on the powered speakers.

I've never seen/heard of anything like that for a computer. Many new TV's have that ability, but of course they are doing it with hardware.
